Kath qualified as a physiotherapist from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1996. She went on to work in a hospital in North Birmingham for 4 years where she specialised in Neurology. During this time she took 5 months out to experience life on board a hospital ship in Africa.
In 2000 Kath and her husband were drawn abroad to Malaysia where she taught English privately and threw herself into caring for people through social action projects. They also took full advantage of living in Asia and travelled widely.
She has spent the last few years dedicated to bringing up her three children while nurturing a private case load treating people with therapeutic massage and deep soft tissue techniques. Kath is passionate about the wide ranging benefits of physiotherapy, soft tissue work and is highly aware of the strong links between mind and body.
After working in partnership with the Cherington team for 10 years as a massage therapist, Kath under the mentorship of Rob Patterson regained her full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy status and is now a valued and indispensable member of the Cherington physiotherapy team.
Kath works on Tuesdays 9am-5pm & Thursdays 12.30-7pm.
